Charity Begins at Home

Our father, Alhaj Maulana Nazir Ahmad Ali and mother, Mohterma Amna Nazir Begum sahiba had a great tradition of charity and helping the needy without asking too many questions and without creating any burden on the recipients. Although, our parents did not have much for themselves or for their children and at times could hardly support themselves, we saw and learned how our parents practiced and wanted us to practice the noble deeds like charity and helping others in time of need.

In memory of our parents, we have decided to create a general charity fund, called Nazir Family Fund, to help and support needy family members (immediate and extended) mostly living in Pakistan.

Seeking Prayers,

Rashid A. Nazir (UK)                 Munir A. Nazir (USA)
Mubarak A. Nazir (Canada)        Latif Khalil Nazir (USA)
Basharat A. Nazir (UK)               Karim A. Nazir (USA)

Nazir Family Fund Idea:

Our initial thoughts on operating the Nazir Family Fund is as following:

1. Karim Nazir will initially organize and coordinate management of the Nazir Family Fund
2. Initiate a fund-raising campaign requesting small but regular contributions from well-to-do immediate and extended Nazir Family members and friends
3. Contributors could send regular contributions to Nazir Family Fund using PayPal, Credit Card, or directly contacting the Fund coordinator. Considering the objectives of the Fund, a regular monthly payment will be most useful and strongly encouraged
4. Identify immediate or extended Nazir Family members in need of help now and establish a way to continuously update this information
5. Our initial intent is to augment personal and family living and subsistence expenses
6. Fund coordinator with the consensus of two other designated contributors will create and regularly update the list of names and the Nazir Family Fund amount to be distributed
7. Each month (or as needed), the Fund coordinator will directly or indirectly distribute the Nazir Family Funds to the recipients identified
8. At the end of each month, the Fund coordinator will post the contributions and charity distribution details on the ‘Nazir Family Fund’ blog.
9. To respect the privacy of the recipients, the Fund coordinator may not publish the identity of the recipients
10. The contributors may decide to contribute to the Fund anonymously
11. The Nazir Family Fund is not tax-deductible [501(c)].

How Nazir Family Fund Can Help?

Please help us know, how and who we can help. Thank you.
